Beta reader feedback is IN!

If you don't already know this (even though I feel like I've been talking about it non-stop to anyone who will listen for close to a year š), I'm writing a book about ghost hunters who hunt the ghosts of serial killersāand I'm SO excited about it.
I've never felt this way about a book before. I had some videos I made on TikTok go viral and was lucky enough to find over 500 people who were interested in beta reading the book. I send the book out last month, and am beyond excited to announce that all feedback has come in.
And I get to start edits.
I've been editing non-stop, diving into revisions and making a plan for how I want to make this book better. I've even been making some videos on my channel documenting my editing process, and sharing some of my ideas in more detail:
I'd been stressed out because this is a long book, and I was hoping to query it, so I really tried to cut it down for beta readersābut the overwhelming feedback I got was that readers wanted more, and thought parts of the story were not fleshed out enough. So I decided to self-publish. I want to publish the exact book that I want to publish, and that my readers want to read, without trying to conform to any other standards. I write for my readers, and for me, because this book is my DREAM of a book and my ideal book to read.
I'm preparing to publish early next year. I've booked my cover designer. I'm trying to make a final decision on a title and series name. It's happening. And I can't wait to share it with you.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the things beta readers are saying...

So anyway, that is what I've been up to. I'm writing like a mad woman right now trying to get all of my edits done so I can focus on releasing this book, but I'm having SO much fun with it. I actually get frustrated if I go too many days without working on a scene with my MMC. I'm kind of obsessed with him.
That is all for now. But as I get closer to releasing this bookā
